AVP Treasury Finance – Hedge Accounting & Financial Control

About the role

The Assistant Vice President will join Deutsche Bank's Treasury and Business Finance (TBF) team in Manila, focusing on hedge accounting and financial control. The role ensures the integrity, completeness, and accuracy of the bank’s financial books and supports transparent reporting across multiple legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Build financial accounting for new hedge accounting programs and collaborate with Treasury, Finance, and Corporate Bank globally.
• Manage daily and monthly hedge designations and de‑designations.
• Execute monthly PV01 risk re‑balancing and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Raise production and IT issues, partnering with relevant teams for tactical and strategic solutions.
• Support financial control activities for issuance and hedge accounting, liaising with colleagues in London.
• Lead and coordinate hedge accounting projects and ad‑hoc initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Business, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, CMA or a Master’s degree are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of a range of financial products and markets.
• Familiarity with US‑GAAP, IAS, or IFRS accounting standards.
• Excellent investigative, problem‑resolution, and detail‑orientation abilities.
