About the role

Join Northern Trust, a Fortune 500 financial institution, as an Auditor. You will work on diverse audit engagements, providing oversight, consulting, and ensuring robust control environments across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and staff audit engagements, adapting to team needs.
• Stay current on regulatory rules and industry changes.
• Manage special projects and participate in business‑unit meetings to discuss audit results.
• Communicate recommendations to partners at all levels and present concise findings.
• Evaluate corporate management, business processes, controls, and operating practices.
• Apply analytical skills to identify potential control weaknesses.
• Develop a thorough understanding of Northern Trust’s Audit Methodology and adhere to department standards.

Required profile

• Knowledge of auditing in the financial services industry and basic accounting principles.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA, CIA, ACA, ACCA) and/or an MBA are preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and report‑writing abilities.
• College or university degree with auditing or systems experience in a financial institution or public accounting.
