Audit Specialist – Retail Banking Audit

About the role

The Internal Audit Team at East West Banking Corporation is seeking an Audit Specialist to support retail banking audits. This hybrid position involves conducting regular and spot audits, as well as special investigations, in line with internal and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform audits, investigations, and assessments according to the annual audit plan.
• Attend and document initial/soft‑exit conferences.
• Report progress and submit audit working papers to the Audit Team Leader.
• Prepare administrative reports (attendance, expenses, DAR) and consolidate departmental DAR.
• Prepare and escalate audit referrals to relevant units or management.
• Draft and submit Audit Assessment Reports (AARs) for review.
• Assist in recommending improvements to existing audit program guides.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Internal Auditing or related field.
• Preferably 1 year of experience in finance or audit; fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Willingness to conduct fieldwork and adhere to internal auditing standards.
