Associate Lawyer – Energy & Regulatory Focus

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Lawyer to join our Quezon City office, focusing on energy and regulatory matters. The role offers direct client interaction, courtroom exposure, and professional growth within a collaborative law firm.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review contracts, pleadings, legal opinions, and regulatory submissions.
• Conduct legal research and develop legal strategies.
• Handle litigation and appear before courts, regulatory agencies, and quasi‑judicial bodies.
• Represent clients during hearings, meetings, and conferences.
• Advise clients on legal and regulatory issues affecting the energy industry.
• Manage case files, deadlines, and client communications.
• Monitor developments in laws, regulations, and jurisprudence relevant to the energy sector.

Required profile

• Member in good standing of the Philippine Bar.
• At least two (2) years of legal experience in the Philippine energy sector, including experience with energy regulatory matters, project development, or transactions.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Experience in litigation, corporate, commercial, or regulatory practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• High ethical standards and commitment to client confidentiality.
