Associate Counsel – Commercial & Corporate Law

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Counsel to join a leading technology company that operates one of Southeast Asia's largest e‑commerce platforms. The role involves providing commercial and corporate legal support while balancing risk with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor, service, partnership, procurement, marketing and technology contracts.
• Provide legal advice on commercial and corporate matters, identifying risks and recommending practical solutions.
• Partner closely with internal stakeholders to support day‑to‑day operations and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and improve contract templates, policies and internal legal processes.
• Stay current on relevant laws and regulations and deliver timely guidance.
• Assist with other legal and compliance matters as assigned.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in the Philippines with 3–6 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Strong background in commercial contracts and corporate legal work, gained in a reputable law firm or in‑house team.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and advisory skills.
• Ability to deliver commercially sound advice in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and organisational abilities.
• Proactive, able to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Experience in technology, e‑commerce, fintech or telecommunications is an advantage.
