Assistant Team Leader

About the role

The Assistant Team Leader will support the maintenance team in a plant environment, ensuring that all work orders are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. This role combines hands‑on supervision with coordination of resources to minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities within the assigned plant area, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and documentation standards.
• Monitor task progress and lead activity‑based tracking to guarantee timely completion of work orders.
• Oversee inventory, control and monitoring of tools and personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring availability and proper usage.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing maintenance processes, safety practices and operational efficiency.
• Facilitate communication and coordination across teams to ensure seamless operations and minimal downtime.

Required profile

• Registered and licensed Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineer.
• At least one year of experience in plant facilities maintenance or a related industrial setting.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with strong supervisory, planning and operational skills.
• Proactive, safety‑focused mindset with excellent problem‑solving capabilities.
