Assistant Tax Manager

About the role

Huawei is seeking an experienced Assistant Tax Manager to lead corporate tax compliance activities in the Philippines. You will work closely with the country CFO to ensure accurate tax filing, interpret local tax laws, and support business units with tax‑related advice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily tax compliance matters, including rule interpretation, solution formulation, tax calculation, filing, external disclosure, and tax asset management.
• Ensure tax filings are timely, accurate, and meet internal and external compliance requirements.
• Identify potential compliance issues, propose and implement improvement measures.
• Conduct special projects such as reviews, summaries, and optimization proposals.
• Provide professional tax advice to other departments and support business success.
• Execute additional tasks assigned by the CFO or department head.

Required profile

• Strong sense of responsibility, diligence, patience, and self‑discipline.
• Excellent time‑management, planning, and process‑management abilities.
• Team‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
• More than 3 years of experience in tax, familiar with various tax regulations.
• Solid accounting knowledge and familiarity with financial reporting.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA are preferred.
