Assistant Portfolio Manager

About the role

The Assistant Portfolio Manager supports senior portfolio managers in the administration of trust, fiduciary and investment accounts. The role ensures that all transaction documentation is complete, accurate, and delivered to custodians in line with client guidelines, internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and verify transactional documents for completeness on transaction day.
• Transfer finalized documents to custodians for proper record‑keeping.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for account opening and ongoing trust account servicing.
• Secure all required paperwork for account‑opening and transaction processing.
• Assist in the administration of fiduciary and investment management accounts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Industrial Management Engineering.
• Completion of a Trust Certification course and training on KYC/AML requirements.
• At least two years of experience in trust account management.
• Working knowledge of money markets, equities, bonds, deposits, foreign exchange and derivatives.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and effective written and oral communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of investment market products and trust account processes.
• Experience with KYC/AML compliance procedures.
