Assistant Manager - Contract Management

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Contract Management will oversee contract administration, claims and dispute resolution, variation and change management, compliance reporting, and risk management for major port and logistics projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day contract correspondence and ensure strict adherence to FIDIC clauses.
• Evaluate contractor claims, assess extensions of time, and coordinate resolutions under the Engineer’s determinations.
• Assess, negotiate, and document project variations and change orders while protecting the company’s financial interests.
• Monitor project timelines, draft performance reports for senior management, and ensure bond and insurance requirements are met.
• Identify potential commercial risks, alert senior directors, and advise project managers on legal and operational implications.

Required profile

• Graduate in Civil Engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
• 5 to 15 years of professional experience in construction or infrastructure project management with a strong focus on contracts.
• Excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FIDIC contract clauses.
• Experience in contract administration, claims evaluation, and risk management.
