Assistant AU Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant AU Tax Manager to join our finance team in a hybrid setting. The role supports tax compliance, financial reporting and junior staff management for our diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse financial information and prepare reports on assets, liabilities, profit & loss and tax liabilities.
• Review work papers, ensure proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare financial statements in line with current legal and reporting requirements.
• Identify, research and resolve complex accounting and tax issues.
• Review and file income tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships and trusts.
• Deliver comprehensive tax planning services to clients.
• Mentor and review the work of junior team members.
• Communicate workflow and performance matters with managers and partners.

Required profile

• Business/Commerce degree with an Accounting major.
• Completed CA qualification or equivalent.
• 4‑5 years experience in professional services, preferably in tax or accounting.
• Strong communication skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
