Assistant Architectural Design Manager (Project-based)

About the role

The Assistant Architectural Design Manager supports the implementation of architectural and engineering designs directly on construction sites. Acting as a bridge between design teams and on‑site execution, this role ensures that design intent is faithfully realized, quality standards are met, and projects stay on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that architectural and engineering plans are correctly executed on‑site and monitor construction activities for alignment with approved drawings.
• Review, approve, and coordinate shop drawings, spot details (RFA/RFI) and other site‑specific documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections, walk‑throughs, and quality checks to assess progress and compliance.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to resolve design‑related issues and lead design coordination meetings.
• Ensure all materials and finishes meet approved submittals, product data, building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.
• Prepare and submit inspection requests, punch‑list reports, and weekly progress updates for internal reference.
• Provide immediate technical solutions, recommend design adjustments, and support the project team with clarifications.

Required profile

• Architectural or engineering background with experience in construction site supervision.
• Familiarity with building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
