Architect I – Water (Industrial Projects)

About the role

Arcadis is looking for an Architect I (Senior Designer) to join its Industrial team in the Philippines. The role focuses on the design of industrial water and wastewater treatment facilities, supporting high‑impact projects that serve critical water infrastructure and sustainable industrial development, often for U.S.‑based clients.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality architectural outputs for water and wastewater treatment plants, including process buildings, pump rooms, control buildings and utility spaces.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical) to develop coordinated, buildable designs.
• Translate complex operational and technical requirements into practical architectural solutions that ensure safety, functionality and maintainability.
• Prepare layouts, plans, sections, details and coordinated BIM models from concept through construction documentation.
• Support design coordination, resolve design issues, and respond to review comments throughout project delivery.

Required profile

• Experience in industrial water treatment, wastewater treatment, or complex process facility projects.
• Familiarity with U.S. or North‑American project standards is preferred.
• Ability to work across U.S. time zones and attend occasional evening meetings.
• Strong understanding of codes, standards, and sustainability considerations for water infrastructure.
