About the role
Kirby International, a global leader in pre‑engineered steel buildings, is seeking a Design Engineer for its South East Asia operations. The role involves turning quotations into detailed designs and ensuring projects meet schedule and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Receive work orders from the design team leader/supervisor and prepare quotations.
- Check proposal drawings from design support and forward the correct versions to sales.
- Develop detailed designs once a quotation becomes a job and prepare design sheets.
- Provide design calculations when required.
- Complete work according to the defined schedule.
- Discuss special cases with the team leader/supervisor.
Required profile
- Graduated in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing pre‑engineered steel buildings or steel structures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in English and the local language.
Required skills
- AutoCAD
- STAAD Pro
- ETABS
- AISC code knowledge
- ASCE code knowledge
- MBMA code knowledge
- Eurocode knowledge
