AML Compliance Operations Manager

About the role

Mastercard is seeking an AML Compliance Operations Manager to lead the Multi‑Products compliance team in the Philippines. The role ensures adherence to anti‑money‑laundering and counter‑terrorist‑financing regulations across onboarding, sanctions screening and transaction monitoring processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, train and mentor a team of analysts handling onboarding, sanctions and transaction‑monitoring alerts.
• Oversee end‑to‑end onboarding, sanctions screening and transaction‑monitoring programs for multiple products.
• Handle escalations, complex investigations and ensure timely, accurate resolution.
• Maintain governance of onboarding, screening and monitoring systems, ensure data integrity and drive continuous improvements.
• Ensure compliance with global sanctions requirements, Mastercard AML/CFT policies and local regulations.
• Prepare and deliver reports, escalating high‑risk issues to senior management.
• Collaborate with business units, legal and compliance teams to implement effective controls.

Required profile

• Extensive financial‑crime compliance experience, especially in sanctions and transaction monitoring.
• Proven experience managing teams of compliance analysts.
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations and handle complex escalations.
• Strong analytical and investigative capabilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of global sanctions regimes and AML/CFT policies.
• Experience preparing reports for senior leadership.
• Effective collaboration with legal, compliance and business stakeholders.
