Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead Metro Pacific Fresh Farms’ accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and effective asset management to support the company’s growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee consolidation, analysis, recording, and summarizing of financial transactions.
• Review financial reports, provide insights, and recommend actions to management.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of all financial statements.
• Approve check and journal vouchers and maintain subsidiary ledgers.
• Establish and enforce accounting systems, controls, and guidelines in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Implement controls to safeguard company assets and oversee fixed‑asset records, valuation, capitalization, and depreciation.
• Lead audit schedule preparation, review findings with top management, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure full compliance with government reportorial requirements and timely remittances to agencies such as BIR, SEC, NTC, and LGUs.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, business partners, and government representatives on accounting matters.
• Set and communicate departmental goals, prepare annual and monthly budgets, determine staffing levels, and establish performance standards and KPIs for the accounting team.
• Motivate, mentor, and develop team members, promote teamwork, and drive continuous improvement in systems and processes.
