Accounting Analyst – Lease Accounting

About the role

Chevron Philippines is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join its finance team in Makati City. The role focuses on lease accounting, ensuring accurate reporting under US GAAP and IFRS, and supporting the migration to a new lease management system.

Key responsibilities

• Review contracts and abstract lease data.
• Maintain lease data and administer the lease accounting system.
• Apply the Lease Accounting Policy consistently and ensure SOX compliance.
• Perform month‑end close activities, account reconciliations, and US GAAP disclosure reporting.
• Support local business units with IFRS lease reporting requirements.
• Assist with lease system migration, including testing and data quality checks.
• Standardize lease classification and cost coding processes.
• Leverage productivity tools (Data Modelling, Power Automate, PowerApps, RPA, Data Analytics) to improve processes.
• Coordinate IUAS‑wide projects and handle general administrative tasks.
• Maintain documentation and ensure records meet legal retention requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in lease accounting and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and SOX controls.
• Ability to perform month‑end close and account reconciliations.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
