Accountant (CPA) – Waste Management

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to lead financial reporting, compliance and accounting operations for a waste management company. The role demands strong analytical skills and experience with Philippine tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and oversee general ledger, AP and AR.
• Ensure compliance with BIR regulations, file VAT and income tax returns, and coordinate with auditors and government agencies.
• Monitor operational costs, assist in budgeting, forecast financial performance and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Establish and maintain internal controls, accounting policies and recommend process improvements.
• Manage cash flow, support financial planning and provide insights to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in waste management, manufacturing, logistics or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and financial reporting standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting systems/software.
