Yield Engineer – COX Expansion

About the role

The Yield Engineer will lead yield improvement and defect‑reduction initiatives for the COX expansion program, ensuring world‑class final yield and scrap rates across assembly and test manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze production, assembly, test, equipment, and quality data to identify trends, variation, and major yield‑loss mechanisms.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, DMAIC, fishbone, fault‑tree analysis, and DOE, partnering with cross‑functional teams.
• Document, validate, and sustain yield improvement actions through effective monitoring and ownership.
• Establish yield dashboards, Pareto analyses, and trend charts; develop standards for yield analysis and defect classification.
• Support new product introduction, product transfer, production ramp‑up, and continuous improvement by evaluating yield impact of process, equipment, material, or design changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Mechatronics Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in semiconductor or optoelectronics with a proven record of leading complex yield improvement projects.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of yield analysis, statistical methods, process capability, design of experiments, MSA/GR&R.
• Proficiency with data‑analysis tools such as Excel, JMP, SQL, Python, Power BI.
• Experience with root‑cause analysis methodologies (8D, DMAIC, fishbone, fault‑tree) and structured problem‑solving.
• Ability to interpret manufacturing, test, equipment, reliability, and quality data to drive actionable improvements.
