Wind Construction Manager – Civil Balance of Plant

About the role

This project‑based position oversees daily civil construction activities at wind farm sites, covering foundations, roads, hardstands, substations, and transmission line works. The manager ensures contractor compliance with designs, schedules, quality, and safety standards while providing clear site progress reporting and strong safety leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control civil works for roads, hardstands, foundations, substations, and transmission lines on a daily basis.
• Track progress against schedules, identify delays and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with technical and author supervision teams and manage “Red Line Mark‑Ups” with contractors.
• Verify compliance with design solutions, as‑built documentation, and material certifications.
• Supervise material acceptance, handle Permit‑to‑Work meetings and sign‑offs.
• Produce daily progress reports and sign off completed works.
• Maintain site documentation and ensure adherence to HSE requirements.

Required profile

• Licensed Civil Engineer.
• 5‑10 years of construction engineering experience, preferably in power production plants.
• Proven experience managing civil works such as foundations, roads, hardstands, substations, and transmission lines.
• Experience working with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and technical supervision teams.
• Familiarity with Permit‑to‑Work systems, construction schedules, and progress reporting.
• Strong understanding of HSE standards and ability to lead safety initiatives.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
