Utility Bill Auditor – Remote

About the role

Limitlessli is seeking a detail‑oriented Utility Bill Auditor to join its remote team. You will analyze gas, electric and water utility accounts, identify billing errors and support audit claims for healthcare clients.

Key responsibilities

• Review utility accounts and billing histories to flag high‑value cases for investigation.
• Download, organize and standardize historical utility bills into clean PDFs for data extraction.
• Use AI‑powered tools to extract up to 24 months of billing data into structured spreadsheets.
• Perform MoM and YoY analyses to detect irregular usage patterns and overcharges.
• Validate AI‑generated data manually and research property characteristics that affect consumption.
• Prepare professional communications to utility providers outlining discrepancies and supporting evidence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, Energy Management or related field (preferred).
• Experience in data analysis, auditing, utility billing or energy management.
• Strong analytical, research and investigative abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication and ability to manage multiple high‑priority accounts.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets.
• Experience with AI‑powered data extraction or document analysis tools (advantageous).
