US Customer Support Specialist (Voice + Email) – Remote Philippines

About the role

Hunt St recruits remote talent in the Philippines for Australian clients. This is a US-hours customer support role (voice and email) for an Australian company that designs and supplies rainwater harvesting, gutter guard and plumbing products. You will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor, working remotely from the Philippines. Pay is $1,900-$2,400 AUD per month.

The first 2-4 weeks are on the Australian day shift for training, then you move to US hours (about 9pm-6am Manila, adjusted for US daylight saving).

Key responsibilities

• Answer US customer emails and tickets in US hours: order status, tracking, PO acknowledgements, documents and account questions
• Work live with the US 3PL in Houston on stock holds, paperwork, resupply, carrier issues and parcel invoice queries
• Monitor every US order in transit and update customers before they chase
• Make outbound calls in a set daily block: callbacks, order queries, delivery updates and quote follow-ups, and later regular calls to US trade and distributor accounts
• Take US inbound calls once trained (currently low volume)
• Handle South Africa and UK afternoon tickets, and triage overnight Australian tickets with a ranked handover note for the 7am start
• Use AI and company systems to draft replies and flag where the AI gets it wrong

Required profile

• Previous US customer support experience, including voice support (chat-only is not enough)
• Excellent written and spoken English, confident on the phone
• Self-directed and highly organised, comfortable working US hours with minimal supervision
• Nice to have: logistics, freight or warehousing experience, and experience with distributors, wholesalers or trade customers

Required skills

• Ticketing systems, business systems and/or AI tools
• Nice to have: Zendesk, Aircall or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
