Training Team Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Training Team Lead to drive the design, development and delivery of learning solutions for our target learner groups. The role ensures that all training initiatives are aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives and business needs, while fostering a culture of continuous development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive learning and development strategies and programs.
• Lead a team of trainers and coordinate the creation of instructional materials using adult‑learning principles.
• Conduct learning needs analyses and tailor training delivery methods (in‑person, virtual, blended) to meet identified gaps.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure training aligns with business goals.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and resources for training initiatives.
• Travel to provincial branches as required to deliver and support training sessions.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and report on key metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Communications or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Learning & Development or Training, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design and varied delivery approaches.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across all organizational levels.
• Experience in insurance, micro‑insurance or financial services is highly preferred.
• Interest in financial inclusion and community development is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to different branches as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using Canva for presentation design.
