Training Specialist – Remote (Home-based)

About the role

We are looking for a remote Training Specialist to design, deliver and assess competency-based training in line with Australian VET standards. The role is home‑based and supports our registered training organisation (RTO) clients.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom and online training using adult learning principles.
• Manage course schedules, student inductions, safety and housekeeping requirements.
• Conduct compliant assessments, including Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
• Assist in developing Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS) and learning resources.
• Serve as first point of contact for student complaints and appeals, maintaining confidentiality.
• Participate in assessment validation meetings and collect feedback from students and employers.
• Adhere to Work Health and Safety (WHS) and occupational safety policies.
• Travel to regional centres for training delivery as needed and engage in professional development.

Required profile

• Relevant TAE qualification or skill set at the level being delivered (e.g., TAE40122 Certificate IV or TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set).
• Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or Diploma of Training Design and Development, or higher adult‑education qualification.
• Current vocational competencies, industry skills and VET knowledge.
• Minimum two years of training and assessment experience, preferably in an RTO environment.
