Test & Product Engineer

About the role

STMicroelectronics is seeking a Test & Product Engineer to sustain a diverse portfolio of semiconductor products. The role focuses on cost reduction, yield improvement, and ensuring high-quality test performance across automotive, microcontroller, smart power, and other device families.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate cost‑reduction, SFV and yield improvement activities to maintain performance aligned with corporate targets.
• Drive capacity improvement projects, including test‑time reduction and test‑flow optimisation.
• Improve inventory hold, rate, and cycle time metrics.
• Maintain regular communication with division and internal stakeholders.
• Perform product and test qualification and release new products to production.

• Quality‑oriented mindset with a focus on zero defects.
• Strong service orientation and ability to lead improvement projects.
• Effective communication skills with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Semiconductor testing methodology.
• Product knowledge: automotive, microcontrollers, smart‑power devices, data storage, analog, sensors.
• Tester platforms: Fusion, T2K, Accotest, Diamond‑X, SPEA, Microtest.
• Handler operations: Instrip, gravity‑fed, pick‑and‑place.
• Statistical analysis.
• Failure analysis and characterization.
