Telesales Associate – Merchant Acquisition

About the role

The Telesales Associate works in the ALDI Merchant Acquisition Department, contacting potential merchant partners, introducing Salmon Philippines’ financing solutions and guiding business owners through the onboarding process to convert leads into accredited merchants.

Key responsibilities

• Outbound sales calls: initiate calls to store owners, verify decision‑makers and maintain professional rapport while complying with data‑privacy regulations.
• Lead engagement & follow‑ups: drive conversion through timely follow‑ups, first‑time outreach, objection handling and consultative relationship building.
• Product & service promotion: present Salmon’s financing solutions, highlight flexible payment options, fast payouts, zero hidden fees and marketing support.
• Needs assessment & qualification: conduct discovery conversations to capture business model, product range, pricing and sales performance for evaluation.
• Application assistance: guide merchants through the end‑to‑end online application, ensure pre‑qualification and coordinate offline support when needed.
• Meeting coordination: schedule online or offline meetings, work with Sales Admin to confirm status and follow‑up.
• Documentation & reporting: record call details, merchant responses and status updates in the system, maintain accurate master files.
• Closing & customer experience: deliver clear closing statements, outline next steps and ensure a positive experience throughout the interaction.

Required profile

• College level education preferred.
• Experience in telesales, telemarketing or customer service is an advantage.
• Strong verbal communication, persuasion and objection‑handling skills.
• Ability to close sales effectively in a target‑driven environment.
• Basic knowledge of sales processes and CRM tools.
• Good time‑management, multitasking and adaptability.
