Telesales Associate – Business Loans (SME)

About the role

The Telesales Associate will drive loan conversion for accredited merchant partners of Salmon Philippines. The role focuses on outbound calling, presenting the Business Loan program, qualifying merchants, collecting documents, and coordinating with underwriting to ensure a smooth end‑to‑end client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outbound calls to merchants, introduce the Business Loan program and explain its benefits, terms and repayment structure.
• Assess merchant business conditions, identify financing needs and convert qualified leads into loan applications.
• Gather required documentation, review for completeness and upload applications to the internal system.
• Coordinate loan approval, contract signing visits and fund transfer with underwriting and loan release teams.
• Monitor post‑release repayment performance, make reminder calls and escalate payment issues as needed.

Required profile

• Senior high school diploma (bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience in telesales, outbound sales, banking, fintech or related financial services.
• Experience selling business loans or merchant financing is an advantage.
• Comfortable making high volumes of outbound calls and meeting sales targets.

Required skills

• Prospecting: identifying qualified business owners and decision‑makers from leads and databases.
• Needs assessment: asking effective questions about financing purpose, revenue, cash flow and repayment capacity.
• Consultative selling: matching customer needs with the appropriate loan product.
• Product presentation: clearly explaining loan amounts, interest/factor rates, fees and repayment terms.
• Objection handling and closing: responding to concerns and securing commitment without pressure.
