Technical Project Manager – Power BI Delivery

About the role

The Technical Project Manager will own the end‑to‑end delivery of Power BI initiatives, from new dashboard creation to enhancements and bug fixes. You will work closely with business stakeholders and the BI team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full delivery lifecycle for Power BI projects, including planning, execution, and post‑delivery reporting.
• Prioritise and maintain the BI backlog in partnership with stakeholders and BI leadership.
• Develop project plans, sprint schedules, and status reports for the active BI portfolio.
• Facilitate requirements‑gathering sessions and translate business needs into clear specifications.
• Run stand‑ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives and proactively address blockers, dependencies, and risks.
• Coordinate cross‑functional dependencies across GTM Operations, Data Engineering, and business teams.
• Monitor delivery metrics such as on‑time delivery rate, backlog velocity, and cycle time.
• Document project artifacts to ensure transparency and knowledge transfer.
• Promote consistent project‑management practices, templates, and tooling standards across the BI team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of technical project‑management or delivery‑management experience supporting software or analytics teams.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule in a structured, accountable manner.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum or Kanban methodologies and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or Smartsheet.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
