Technical Assistant I & II – Project Evaluation

About the role

The Department of Education’s Project Management Service is seeking Technical Assistant I and Technical Assistant II to support its ODA Project Evaluation Team. The positions involve assisting in the evaluation of overseas development assistance‑funded education programs, conducting research, analysing data, and preparing evaluation reports.

Key responsibilities

• Review project documents and gather relevant data for ODA‑supported initiatives.
• Conduct literature reviews, field research, and statistical analysis as required.
• Draft evaluation reports, technical memoranda, and other deliverables.
• Support stakeholder coordination and participation in evaluation activities.
• Assist in the preparation of inputs for new ODA‑supported project pipelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, development studies, public administration).
• For Technical Assistant II: at least one year of experience in project development, management, evaluation or research.
• For Technical Assistant I: no prior work experience required.
• Completion of at least eight hours of relevant training or certification (for TA II).
• Strong analytical, research, technical writing and communication abilities.
