Tech Lead / Senior Software Engineer – Automation & Tooling

About the role

Avaloq is seeking a senior engineer who enjoys owning technical solutions and mentoring peers. In this position you will shape how the company builds software at scale, focusing on process automation, tooling, and lifecycle governance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain clean, tested, and documented automation software.
• Create pipelines and supporting systems for data synchronization between tools such as Bitbucket and Artifactory.
• Prototype and implement features that streamline development workflows and reduce repetitive tasks.
• Establish structured data models, automation, and reporting (e.g., PowerBI) for build pipelines, repositories, and third‑party artifacts.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Security, Integration Pipeline and Release Management to define the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to less experienced engineers.

Required profile

• Senior‑level software engineer with a strong sense of ownership.
• Experience in building and scaling automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work across multiple teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Comfort with audit readiness, compliance, and risk‑management concerns.
