Team Leader – Insurance (Medical Bill Review)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Team Leader to oversee a non‑voice, back‑office team handling medical bill review and data validation for a major U.S. insurance provider. The role focuses on ensuring accurate processing of auto‑insurance claims while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and mentor claims representatives on medical bill review procedures, documentation standards, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor team performance, provide actionable feedback, and conduct audits to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Identify process gaps, propose improvements, and collaborate with leadership on implementation.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert for state‑specific requirements such as PIP and MedPay.
• Support escalated claim resolutions and communicate with providers when necessary.
• Track performance metrics and contribute to operational reporting and analysis.

Required profile

• At least two years of college education.
• Minimum one year of supervisory or team‑lead experience, preferably in health or P&C insurance data‑capture programs.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving abilities, and effective time‑management.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with workflow management tools.
