Tax Lawyer

About the role

Ayala Land Group is seeking an experienced Tax Lawyer to lead its tax compliance and advisory functions across its subsidiaries. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and government agencies to minimise tax liabilities while ensuring full regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and resolve tax assessments from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and local government units (LGUs) for all Ayala Land subsidiaries.
• Secure BIR rulings, certifications, and confirmations to support business transactions.
• Provide advice on registration of licenses, permits, and vehicle issuance.
• Strengthen tax compliance with agencies such as BIR, Board of Investments (BOI), Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), and various LGUs.
• Handle VAT refund applications and other tax‑related matters, including potential CTA issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in law or accounting).
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Proven ability to advise on tax implications of business transactions and propose tax‑efficient alternatives.
• Strong analytical skills to assess the business impact of legislative and tax developments.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Philippine tax law and regulations.
• Experience handling tax assessments, VAT refunds, and interactions with BIR, BOI, PEZA, and LGUs.
