Tax and Regulatory Compliance Lead

About the role

The Tax and Regulatory Compliance Lead will oversee the preparation, filing, and management of all Philippine tax obligations, ensuring the company remains fully compliant with local tax laws and regulations. This role works closely with the finance team and external tax consultants to mitigate risk and streamline tax processes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the finance team in India to gather data for filing Income Tax Returns, VAT, WHT, advance tax, transfer pricing, and PEZA reports.
• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax forms, including issuance of Form 2307 to vendors.
• Calculate and provision for income tax and deferred tax on a quarterly basis.
• Provide guidance on regulatory requirements affecting day‑to‑day operations.
• Monitor and verify the correct withholding of taxes (FWT, EWT, VAT, FBT, etc.) on all transactions.
• Develop and maintain a master reference file outlining tax applicability for various transactions.
• Liaise with tax consultants to resolve issues and communicate findings to supervisors.
• Review company policies regularly to ensure alignment with local and national tax regulations.
• Identify potential tax exposures and recommend corrective actions.
• Handle BIR audits, respond to correspondence, prepare reconciliations, and represent the organization before tax authorities.
• Support Philippine statutory audits and the migration to a new accounting system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; CPA certification preferred.
• Ability to support both local and global finance teams.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Bridgetowne, Quezon City with a hybrid work arrangement.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and regulations.
• Experience preparing and filing corporate tax returns and related forms.
• Familiarity with BIR audit processes and statutory compliance.
• Ability to coordinate data collection across multiple locations.
