Tax Accountant (Remote, Full‑time)

About the role

TOA Global is seeking a remote Tax Accountant to support its U.S. clients. You will act as a technical lead on federal and state tax compliance, ensuring accurate filing and strategic tax planning while working from the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex U.S. tax returns (Form 1040, 1065, 1120‑S, 1120) for individuals and businesses.
• Perform book‑to‑tax reconciliations (Schedule M‑1/M‑3) and manage reporting for brokerage activity, Schedule K‑1s, and rental real estate.
• Maintain fixed‑asset schedules and apply tax depreciation methods such as MACRS, bonus depreciation, and Section 179.
• Utilize CCH Axcess Tax and SafeSend to drive efficiency and collaborate with on‑shore U.S. teams on tax planning and projections.
• Uphold the highest data‑security standards using corporate VPNs and secure document‑management systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience preparing U.S. tax returns with CCH Axcess Tax.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA designation or CPA‑track preferred.
• Experience in a U.S. public accounting firm or BPO shared‑services environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to solve complex tax problems independently.
