Tax Accountant – Australian Private Companies

About the role

Join Emapta’s new Pioneer team as an Australian Tax Accountant and work with a Big Four firm serving private companies and mid‑market enterprises. You will handle Australian tax compliance, financial reporting and advisory tasks while gaining international exposure and the chance to travel to Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Australian financial statements for multiple entity structures and ensure audit readiness.
• Complete Australian income tax returns for individuals and entities and produce Business Activity Statements (BAS) in line with compliance requirements.
• Develop workpapers, process journal entries in client accounting systems and coordinate with the Australian Taxation Office.
• Conduct advisory research, prepare supporting file notes and review client documentation.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification (CA, partial CA or pursuing CA).
• 2‑3 years of Australian public practice accounting experience with SME and mid‑market clients (AUD 5M‑100M+ turnover).
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive problem‑solving, high attention to detail and ability to work within structured, review‑driven workflows.

Required skills
