Systems Administrator – Hybrid Cloud & On-Prem

About the role

The Systems Administrator will manage both on‑premises and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability. This remote position supports Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file services in a hybrid configuration.
• Manage VMware vSphere/vCenter infrastructure, handling VM provisioning, resource allocation, snapshot management, and host maintenance.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive), tenant configuration, licensing, and user provisioning.
• Maintain Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and hybrid identity configurations such as Entra Connect sync and SSO integrations.
• Support Azure cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and Azure Files.
• Perform OS patching, firmware updates, lifecycle management, and monitor system performance and capacity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of systems administration experience across on‑premises and cloud platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Windows Server administration (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).
• VMware vSphere/vCenter virtualization.
• Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Entra Connect, hybrid identity management.
• Microsoft Intune endpoint management.
• Azure cloud services (VMs, storage, Azure Files).
• PowerShell scripting for automation.
• SAN/NAS storage administration.
• Veeam backup platform (preferred).
