System Administrator – Secure IT Operations

About the role

The System Administrator will ensure the secure, stable, and efficient operation of the company’s IT systems, network infrastructure, and data environment. This role is responsible for managing system access, safeguarding data, enforcing IT protocols, and maintaining visibility over system activities to prevent unauthorized access or data loss.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, workstations, and overall IT infrastructure.
• Control user access, permissions, and account lifecycle based on role and business need.
• Monitor system and activity logs, maintain audit trails, and generate security reports.
• Implement and enforce IT security policies, protect sensitive data, and restrict unauthorized external storage.
• Manage regular backups, test restoration processes, and ensure data integrity.
• Investigate and respond to system issues, security incidents, and provide detailed documentation.
• Apply patches, updates, and perform capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Assist in disaster recovery planning, business continuity procedures, and coordinate with vendors for support and upgrades.

Required profile

• Proven experience in system and network administration.
• Strong understanding of access control, data security, and backup strategies.
• Ability to monitor, analyze, and report on system activity and security events.
• Experience documenting incidents and implementing preventive measures.
• Good problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
