Structural Steel Estimator

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Structural Steel Estimator to join our U.S.-based estimating team. The role supports commercial construction projects by producing accurate takeoffs, 3D models, and bid packages while collaborating remotely during overlapping Pacific Time business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural steel takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Build, review, and maintain 3D models using Tekla Structures.
• Generate material quantities and verify accuracy for estimating.
• Input, manage, and maintain project data within PowerFab.
• Assist in preparing bid packages and supporting estimation deliverables.
• Conduct internal quality‑control checks to ensure estimate accuracy.
• Review structural drawings, plans, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate closely with U.S.-based estimators and project stakeholders.
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and organization.

Required profile

• Proven experience in structural steel estimating.
• Hands‑on experience with Tekla Structures for 3D modeling.
• Experience using PowerFab for estimating or data management.
• Strong ability to read and interpret structural drawings and construction documents.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for remote teamwork.
