Specialist II Buying and Planning

About the role

Emerson is seeking a Specialist II in Buying and Planning to support supply planning across all plant sites. You will ensure that the right materials arrive on time, maintaining production continuity while balancing price, quality, and delivery considerations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue purchase orders, manage supplier acknowledgments.
• Expedite orders and communicate delivery information to impacted departments.
• Manage material shortages, short shipments, and buy lists.
• Analyze invoice discrepancies and coordinate resolutions.
• Resolve Quality and Non‑Conformance Material Reports.
• Contact vendors and shippers to confirm price, date, quantity, unit of measure, and shipping details.
• Participate in review meetings for MRP, shortages, inventory reduction, service levels, and S&OP processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Purchasing or related field.
• Approximately 2.5 years of experience in buying, production planning, S&OP, procurement, inventory management, or supply chain.
• Strong drive for results, proactive problem‑solving, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Intermediate knowledge of Supply Chain systems (MRP, ERP).
• Data mining, manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
• Material Requirement Planning (MRP) concepts.
• Metrics reporting and gap analysis.
• Familiarity with supply‑chain commodities and inventory management.
