Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a global leader in financial services. The role is fully remote and focuses on building and maintaining core platforms that process real‑time financial transactions for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise backend services that handle high‑volume financial transaction processing.
• Integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement security controls to meet financial regulations and data‑privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews following engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues to minimise downtime and ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience building backend systems for financial or payment processing domains.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, micro‑services architecture and API design.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and container orchestration.
• Ability to write unit and integration tests and work with CI/CD pipelines.
