Software Engineer – Embedded SIM/eSIM Applications

About the role

Thales is seeking a Software Engineer to join its embedded software – applications team in Manila. You will work on the design, implementation, validation and deployment of embedded SIM/eSIM/eSE applications for major OEM smartphone customers.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the design, implementation, validation and deployment of embedded application products for major OEM smartphone customers.
• Develop new and maintain existing SIM/eSIM/eSE JavaCard applications.
• Validate applications across various SIM/eSIM/eSE card operating systems and integrate them into automatic build processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of product and development methodologies, such as automated builds and integrations.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a software engineer.
• Team player with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Java programming.
• JavaCard development.
• VB programming.
• Knowledge of embedded technology/ecosystem and software security (plus).
