Software Engineer – Business Frameworks Team

About the role

As a Software Engineer in Avaloq’s Business Frameworks team, you will help build and evolve the core components of the Avaloq Banking Suite that serve global banking clients. You will work closely with product owners, architects and fellow engineers to deliver high‑quality, customer‑focused solutions in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Team Lead, Product Owner, Team Architect and other engineers on solution design.
• Write and review solution designs with technical leads and architects.
• Participate in client workshops and support business analysts during requirements analysis.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust software solutions within the team’s scope.
• Improve and optimise existing functionalities.
• Develop and maintain automated tests and ensure quality assurance.
• Take ownership of your area of expertise and drive continuous improvement.
• Work with agile processes and ticketing tools such as Jira.

Required profile

• Strong, demonstrable experience in continuous software development.
• Experience working with database technologies.
