SOC Lead

About the role

The SOC Lead will define and drive the strategic direction of the Managed Detection & Response service, expanding its pipeline through close collaboration with internal and external channels. The role also creates cross‑sell opportunities for other managed and consulting services while staying current on industry, technology and business trends.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and define the strategic direction for Managed Detection & Response as a managed service.
• Grow the solution pipeline by partnering with internal teams and external channels.
• Identify and create pull‑through opportunities for additional managed and consulting services.
• Investigate and orchestrate response to complex, high‑severity security alerts, threats, or incidents.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client incident‑response orchestration.
• Lead research, analysis and correlation across data sets, log collectors and threat feeds to guide product strategy.
• Monitor competitive landscape in pricing, capabilities and offerings to inform security posture trends.
• Direct technical product managers in developing new or enhanced Managed Detection & Response solutions.
• Create and evolve SOC processes, procedures, and use‑case catalogs.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience leading Enterprise Security Operations Centers, Managed Detection & Response, or incident‑response teams.
• Proven experience as a Level 3 SOC analyst, threat hunter, penetration tester, digital forensics specialist, and incident responder.
• Hands‑on knowledge of on‑prem, hybrid and cloud security concepts and protocols.
• Product management experience with SaaS or IaaS offerings for enterprise customers.
• Understanding of 24/7 high‑availability managed services and global SOC operations.

Required skills

• Certifications such as CEH, GIAC, OSCP, CREST, GCIH, CCIA, GPEN.
• Platform certifications (Microsoft, Splunk, Sentinel, etc.).
• Threat hunting, penetration testing, digital forensics, incident response.
• Vulnerability research, endpoint management, network security.
• Experience with cyber‑security solutions, SOC operations, threat intelligence management.
• Product management for SaaS/IaaS security services.
