Site Inspector – Bridge

About the role

The Bridge Site Inspector will ensure that all bridge construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Working on SMEM projects in Mandaluyong City, the role involves daily site inspections, coordination with contractors, and reporting to the Site Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine site inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor bridge construction workmanship and ensure adherence to project requirements.
• Inspect materials, equipment, and completed works for quality and conformity.
• Witness field tests, measurements, and quality‑control activities.
• Identify defects, non‑conformances, and safety issues and report findings.
• Verify contractor compliance with construction methods, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain inspection reports, site records, photographs, and documentation.
• Monitor construction progress and report daily site activities.
• Assist in reviewing quantities, measurements, and work accomplishments.
• Coordinate with contractors and project stakeholders to resolve site issues and ensure timely delivery.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in bridge, highway, or infrastructure construction.
• Experience in construction inspection, quality control, and site supervision.
• Knowledge of bridge construction methods, DPWH standards, reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations, piling, and earthworks.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
• Strong observation, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem‑solving abilities.
