About the role

Canva is looking for a Senior Social Media Team Lead to head its Advanced Social Media Team in Manila. This role sits within the Specialist Operations Group of User Voice, ensuring millions of users feel heard and supported across social channels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Advanced Social Media Team, setting direction and maintaining a high quality bar.
• Own crisis and incident leadership for social media, coordinating with Marketing, Communications, and external partners during high‑visibility situations.
• Translate Canva’s strategic priorities into actionable team plans that align with the broader User Voice mission.
• Drive operational excellence by monitoring KPIs, identifying process gaps, and championing improvements.
• Act as the quality and enablement interface between the Advanced Social Media Team and broader social operators, including external support partners.
• Build and maintain frameworks, playbooks, and documentation for consistent and confident team operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading specialist or subject‑matter‑expert teams and fostering a high‑trust culture.
• Deep expertise in social media, including crisis management and handling sensitive content.
• Strong coaching ability with a focus on calibrated, growth‑accelerating feedback.
• Ability to balance strategic direction with day‑to‑day operational accountability.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills, building trust without formal authority.
