Senior PCB Design Engineer – Alabang, Philippines

About the role

Teradyne’s NBU PCB Design Engineering team is looking for a Senior PCB Design Engineer to lead the development of printed‑circuit‑board designs for its product portfolio. The role works in a dynamic, multi‑site environment and collaborates with cross‑functional engineering groups from concept through to manufacturing release.

Key responsibilities

• Create schematics and develop component symbols and PCB footprints based on system‑level specifications.
• Set up Constraint Manager rules for electrical, physical and DFM requirements and perform routing assessments.
• Define assembly specifications, generate assembly and test packages, and produce fabrication files.
• Generate cost estimates for marketing quotations and attend product development and kickoff meetings.
• Use Teamcenter to manage part numbers, BOMs and Engineering Change Notices.
• Perform QA inspections on final design data and work closely with Simulation, DFT, DFA and DFM engineers to resolve test, assembly and fabrication issues.
• Create interface board CAD templates for customer use and travel occasionally for training or validation.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in PCB layout and automated test systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD and Cadence PCB design tools.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Cadence Allegro (versions 17.2, 23.1) and OrCAD Capture.
• Experience using Gerber and ODB++ verification tools such as ViewMate or Valor.
• Strong background in high‑speed PCB design, including controlled‑impedance routing, differential pair routing, length matching, stack‑up creation and signal‑integrity considerations.
• Ability to set layout standards, own quality and schedule deliverables, and work on complex designs with minimal supervision.
