Strategic Sourcing Buyer

About the role

Lead strategic sourcing and purchasing activities for complex technical RFQs related to seating and e‑systems, driving cost savings and supplier consolidation across global automotive operations.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and present complex technical RFQs for automation lines, equipment, testers, and special‑purpose machines using the Coupa system.
• Act as lead negotiator in high‑value negotiations with major global suppliers.
• Achieve quarterly capex cost‑saving, cost‑avoidance, and free‑cash‑flow targets.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners and executive leadership to align spend, strategy, and savings objectives.
• Support the transformation to a centralized strategic sourcing centre of excellence, ensuring compliance and transparency.
• Increase spend under management and enforce purchasing processes and Coupa compliance.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years progressive purchasing experience in non‑production capex, preferably automotive or industrial.
• Demonstrated integrity, strong analytical mindset, and record of achieving cost‑saving targets.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and work in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Coupa procurement system.
• In‑depth knowledge of sourcing and purchasing principles, processes, and controls.
• Understanding of standard contract terms and commercial risk mitigation.
