Senior Linux Administrator

About the role

Analog Devices, a global semiconductor company, is looking for a Linux Administrator to support and maintain its Linux infrastructure. The role covers enterprise Linux environments, security hardening, incident response and automation, and works closely with engineering, network, security, cloud and application teams. It is based in Cavite, Philippines, with normal working hours and about 10% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and upgrade Linux servers (Red Hat and Ubuntu), and monitor, patch, troubleshoot and tune performance
• Manage users, permissions and access controls, and support physical, virtual and AWS-based Linux environments for semiconductor design
• Manage storage, backups, file systems and core services such as DNS, LDAP, email, printing and web/application servers
• Administer HPC clusters, job schedulers and engineering data management tools
• Implement security best practices, hardening and vulnerability remediation, and support audits, firewall management and access reviews
• Monitor infrastructure health, perform root cause analysis and maintain operational documentation
• Write scripts and automation to support configuration management and DevOps initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and share knowledge across the IT organization

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 3-5+ years of Linux system administration experience
• Experience with enterprise Linux (RHEL and Ubuntu) and virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V or similar)
• Knowledge of NetApp storage, NFS and backup/recovery solutions such as Rubrik
• Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SSH, NTP) and monitoring/logging tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Preferred: semiconductor, EDA or HPC experience, AWS, Ansible/Puppet, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, RHCSA/RHCE certification, project management and AI tool use
