Senior DevOps Engineer – Systems Integration

About the role

The Senior DevOps Engineer – Systems Integration will design, implement and operate end‑to‑end Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and DevOps capabilities for complex, multi‑system enterprise environments. Working within KPMG’s Industry Platforms & Systems Integration practice, you will enable automated, secure and high‑quality delivery pipelines that support large‑scale integration programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive ALM frameworks covering requirements‑to‑deployment traceability, build, test, release and deployment cycles.
• Define DevOps architecture for multi‑team, multi‑environment systems integration, including branching, versioning and artefact management standards.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for applications, integration services, middleware and data/platform components.
• Automate build, test, security scanning and deployment processes, supporting environment promotion (DEV → TEST → UAT → PROD) with appropriate approvals.
• Define and operate release management processes, including rollout strategies such as blue/green, canary and rollback.
• Support Agile/Scrum delivery models, integrating work‑item tracking with pipelines and providing metrics such as velocity and burndown.
• Embed quality gates, automated testing and DevSecOps checks into pipelines and maintain DevOps dashboards.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience in designing and operating DevOps solutions for large, complex environments.
• Strong technical leadership skills, able to collaborate with development, integration, QA, security and release teams.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum settings and driving continuous delivery practices.
