Senior DevOps Engineer – Lead Consultant

About the role

Join KPMG’s Industry Platforms & Systems Integration team as a Senior DevOps Engineer – Lead Consultant. You will design, implement and optimise secure, automated CI/CD pipelines that accelerate high‑quality software delivery for large‑scale digital transformation programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD and DevOps pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins or similar tools.
• Automate application build, testing, deployment and release processes.
• Establish DevOps best practices, branching strategies and release management processes.
• Manage deployment environments and support release planning and production deployments.
• Integrate DevSecOps, automated testing and quality gates into delivery pipelines.
• Build DevOps dashboards and monitor pipeline performance, release health and deployment metrics.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, security, infrastructure and project teams.
• Mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement through automation.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of IT experience, including 6–8 years in DevOps, CI/CD or Application Lifecycle Management.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins or comparable tools.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum, release management and software development lifecycle.
• Experience supporting large‑scale enterprise systems integration or cloud transformation projects.
• Relevant certifications in DevOps, Agile, Azure, AWS or Scrum are highly preferred.
