Senior Consultant – Security Operations Center

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Security Operations Center (SOC) team. You will be responsible for monitoring, investigating and responding to security incidents across client environments, ensuring rapid containment and remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms such as ELK and other industry‑standard tools.
• Perform triage, classification and investigation of alerts, collecting evidence and escalating true positives.
• Coordinate with end‑users, infrastructure, network and application teams to resolve incidents and restore services.
• Provide containment, eradication and remediation recommendations to resolver groups.
• Maintain and improve SOC L1/L2 operating procedures, SOPs and work instructions.
• Prepare root‑cause analysis (RCA) documents for critical (P1) incidents.
• Generate daily, weekly and monthly incident status reports.
• Collaborate with third‑party security partners to track and close tickets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in security incident monitoring and response within a SOC environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate, document and escalate security events.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Detail‑oriented mindset to differentiate false positives from genuine threats.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ELK stack for log aggregation and analysis.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools for real‑time threat detection.
• Knowledge of incident response processes and threat containment techniques.
